Elegance
Fireplace Feature Wall | Skylights | Pot lights | Basement Renovation | Poly-B Removal
Project Scope
We had the pleasure of working with this friendly couple on a number of occasions. For our first project, Disciple removed an outdated oak wall unit and installed a modern white one, complete with a new gas fireplace framed with a marble tile.
Skylights
For our second project, this couple wanted to add more light to brighten up their kitchen. Skylight openings were cut into the roof and vents were installed to correct condensation issues in the attic. The interior and exterior of the skylight openings were waterproofed, and new shingles were installed to match the existing ones.
These high-tech, efficient, and solar-powered skylights have wireless remotes that control the blinds and open and close the windows. The windows also come complete with rain sensors so that the windows automatically close when it rains. New LED pot lights in the kitchen add additional light at night.
Basement Development
For our third project, the basement was developed to provide additional space for entertaining as well as a guest bedroom.
The basement was framed, insulated and the ceiling sound proofed (insulation and Z bar to stop sound vibration transference). Electrical and finishing completed the space.
The addition of an egress window brings the space up to code as well as provides extra natural light.
The existing Poly-B plumbing was removed and replaced with up-to-code water pipe.
